Our favorite midnight treat suggestions

It has become more and more common to serve a late night snack at wedding receptions. This trend is definitely on the increase, spurred on by the fact that weddings nowadays tend to continue way into the early hours, making it important to serve guests a few nibbles after a long night of celebrating! Mini bites and finger foods are perfect for this portion of the night, when all your guests really want is a little bit of comfort food to keep the party alive and their energy levels high while keeping messiness to a minimum! Here are some of our favorite afterglow menu:

French fries in cones

Mac and cheese balls

Menu Cards

Proof-reading all of your event stationary can often be a tedious task which many people tend to ignore until the last possible moment. Although it may not be a priority, small touches such as menu cards really do add so much to your events, showing your guests that the same amount of thought and effort went into making them as it did in selecting the menu itself.

For those of you who love the idea of creating a menu card but don’t know exactly how to do it, here is the general template you should follow:

1.     In honor of
2.     Name
3.     Date
4.     Location
5.     Description of Courses (Appetizers, Salads, EntrĂ©es, Main Course, Desserts)

Menu cards can also act as a cute wedding keepsake for your guests and can be paired to your existing wedding stationary design or matched with your reception theme for extra detail!

Reception Menu

We say this all the time, but food is the most important aspect of any successful wedding event. Guests come ready to eat and you want to make sure to have enough options available to satisfy all your guests, especially when your guest count is over 300. It's not easy to find a menu that will include items every single guests will enjoy. This is why variety is super important.

For cocktail hour we always suggest doing both passed appetizers and stations, offer as many vegetarian options as non-vegetarian so that no one is left out.

Guests are pretty full after cocktail hour, but after a few hours of dancing they will be ready for a full meal, make sure to include salad, bread, rice as well as vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

Here is a great sample menu:

Cocktail Hour:
Padpi Chat in Cup
Chilli Pakoda
Paneer Pakora
Avocado chaat in edible spoon
Tandoori stuffed mushrooms
Chicken Chapli Kebab
Lamb Chop

Shrimp Toast

Station #2: Dosa Station

Reception:
