Thank You Note: Father of the Bride

Last week we received a sweet thank you note from the bride and groom, Deepti and Anup. This week we received one from her father, Gordhan Zalavadia....

Dear Sonal,

The whole family would like to thank you and your team for making Deepti's and Anup's wedding so wonderful and keeping us at ease. Everything was amazing and we truly appreciate your time and effort and we all had a great time. We can't wait for the second Zalavadia wedding this come December!

 Thank you again,
The Zalavadia Family

Napkins, tablecloths, chair covers, chair caps, sashes and bows can add to the overall look of your event and even be the wow factor. Wildflower Linen has amazing colors, designs, and variety that can give you the impact you want while still being chic and tasteful. This is one of our favorite vendors and if you look at the variety of linens they can provide, you will see why.

Creative Table Numbers

Table numbers can really be a unique way to set the mood on your special day. There is a table number design for any wedding. Your wedding can have specific table number designs based on you and your significant other as a couple. For example, naming each table after a food or candy that you as a couple like. Also, you can name tables after cities that you have been to together. Also, your table numbers can simply set the mood you want the wedding to take on. Either way there are many designs and style that will make you day even more beautiful.

Thank You Note: Brinda and Anil

The thank you notes keep coming in today :)

This one came in from our lovely couple Brinda and Anil:

Sonal, Katherine and Team – thank you so much for everything you did to make our day perfect. You were always on top of everything, helping us along the way and pushing us when we needed it. A lot of our other vendors came to us to tell us how big of a help it was for them because you were around. We would not have been able to plan the wedding without your help and support. I felt like you were available 24/7 for any of my questions. Also, wanted to especially thank Sheetal who was God sent for me on the day of the wedding. A lot of people came to us after the wedding and commented on how hard you guys were working. We wish you all the best and look forward to working with you again!

Thank You Note: Deepti and Anup

We just got the sweetest thank you note from our couple that got married in Puerto Rico earlier this month...

Dear Sonal, Ruth and the SJS Team,

We will start with the word AMAZING! There are few things in life that are more difficult than leaving a positive lasting impression on Indian parents, and you were able to have our parents think of you and the team as one of their own by the end of our wedding. From the very beginning of the entire planning process (and we are talking about over a year worth of planning – oh boy!), the responsiveness of the team to our various requests, concerns or ridiculous inquiries, no matter the time of day or night, made us feel like we had access to your team 24 hours a day. Most importantly, the fact our parents’ and we could rely so heavily on your team to coordinate each detail of every event with such confidence, allowed us to truly cherish the time we had to celebrate this festive occasion with our family and friends. The stress that comes with planning a wedding can be overwhelming for a family, but your team was able to put our families at ease and allow us to enjoy every minute of our wedding, and for that we cannot thank you enough. The entire weekend was a huge success and it couldn’t have been done without you! Remember, our next family get together is Thanksgiving and we have set a place at the table for the whole team – we look forward to seeing you then!!! And don’t forget, even though our wedding is over, we have another family wedding with the SJS team just around the corner.

Thank you so much!!!

Love,
Anup & Deepti

AISLEWAY PIECES

One of the most important part of your wedding decoration is your aisle. Indeed, this will be the place where all your guests will look at you walking down the aisle! Right now, the hottest trend in decoration is to place your aisleway pieces at the begining of your aisle. It gives a first wonderful view for all your guests when they enter the room and it also makes you aisle less crowded.  Take a look at those georgous ideas of this trend!

iPhone Themed Save the Dates

Save the date cards are very common now when planning any event. Since we are in a very tech savvy society, why not send a save the date inspired by the iPhone. You can take a picture with your iPhone that has all the details  and have the stationary printed; or you can go one step further and send a save the date that actually looks like an iPhone! Take a look at these two links. The first is a template you can use to assemble an iPhone. The second one, from U Print Invitations, has an invitation that looks like an iPhone that you can personalize.

Outdoor Wedding Must Have: Fans

When you have an outdoor wedding it is a necessity to have fans accessible to your guests. We just did a wedding in Puerto Rico and the Bride and Groom ordered these great battery powered fans and put them in the welcome bags. Needless to say they came in very handy for the tropical beach ceremony. The guests got to enjoy the ceremony and made everyone happy, thanks to 4imprint.

Destination St. Kitts

There are so many islands in the Caribbean that many people don't know about, so we wanted to make sure that you knew about one of our favorite ones...St.Kitts.

Couples looking to have a romantic tropical wedding-whether is a historic church for a religious ceremony, on a white sandy beach or in historic ruins-will find St. Kitts an absolutely perfect choice.

Here are 3 of our favorite properties on the island:

1. St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino

If you are looking for a family friendly venue, with tons of activities for all your guests make sure to check out this hotel.

2. Four Seasons Resort Nevis West Indies
If you are planning a smaller celebration and want a romantic luxurious feel look at the Four Season Resort. They offer excellent service which will leave your guests in awe.

3. Montpelier Plantation & Beach
For a unique and intimate wedding this plantation is the place for you. They even offer the option to block out the entire venue for your party.

Destination Weddings: Hand Held Fans

Destination weddings can be the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. However, if you are outdoors in warm or tropical weather, you must also think of the comfort of your guests. Hand held fans are the perfect item to give your guests for the duration of the ceremony. They are small, light, and serve as a great way to keep cool and enjoy the ceremony. They can be simple or personalized. Here are some of our favorites.
