SJS Real Weddings: Shivani and Pratik

We are back in New York City after an eventful weekend in Miami.

Our bride and groom celebrated a three day weekend full of festivities at the Trump National Doral Miami. The events kicked off with an energetic Sangeet/Garba where friends and family prepared over six performances, including a Jimmy Fallon inspired Lip Sync Battle, that had guests on their feet the entire night.

Saturday morning started with a little drizzle which soon became a heavy rain. But that did not stop our bride and groom from celebrating their love. The ceremony continued as planned with one of the best baraat's we have ever had, with guests dancing in the rain. Followed by a gorgeous outside ceremony that not even a little rain could ruin.

The weekend came to an end with a stunning gold and white reception where guests danced the night away and celebrated the love of the new Mr. and Mrs.

We want to thank all the amazing vendors that stood by us all weekend, rain or shine: Otto Harring Photography, Walking on Water Video, DJ Volcanik Entertainment, Cameron Keating Events, Susmita Patel, Amy Palma and the entire team at the Trump National Doral.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

SJS Real Weddings: Shereen and Saad

We are back in action after a jam packed weekend of festivities in Syracuse this Labor Day Weekend. Our client hosted 500 of their closest friend and family for 3 days of fun, love and dancing.

It all began with the Mayoon Event at the bride's home where we transformed their tennis court and left guest feeling like they were in Pakistan. Guest enjoyed the night thanks to the traditional Bollywood songs of Tina Kundalia.

Friday, everyone was ready to party at the energetic Mehendi held at the On Center in Syracuse, where friends and family prepared over six performances including a very romantic and emotional serenade from the groom to his lovely bride to be.

The festivities all came to an end with a stunning Nikka Ceremony and Reception at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort. Guests jaws dropped when they entered the ballroom and were left in awe by the gorgeous decor.

We want to thank the team at Elegant Affairs for their amazing work on each and every event, the decor was truly breathtaking; to DJ Manan Shah for keeping the party going and to Lilly Rivera from Bridal Gal for keeping our bride stunning the entire weekend. We cannot wait to see all the official images from Foto Impressions who where there to capture everything.

SJS Real Weddings: Karishma and Kinjal

This weekend's wedding at The Plaza was one for the books. It all started with an epic baraat on 5th avenue where around 500 NYC residents and tourist joined us for the festivities.

After the ceremonial groom's procession the guests entered the Terrace Ballroom which was set to a romantic mood with thousands of candles everywhere with a mandap in gorgeous draped ivory fabrics and hundreds of orchids and crystal. The traditional ceremony came to an end with an emotional vidhai that even left us crying!

Soon after the guests were whisked to the Centennial Room for cocktail hour which featured a delectable selection of appetizers and food stations.

The day all came together with the stunning reception. Guests were in awe as they entered the grand ballroom which was transformed with difference tones of pink and gold. They enjoyed an exquisite sit down dinner, followed by a grand dessert display which included a live Jalebi station and Paan ice cream, and just when guests thought the food was over the hotel staff butler passed late night snacks to partygoers that had not left the dance floor.

We want to send a huge thank you to all the vendors that made this event possible. The amazing staff at The Plaza Hotel who always ensure that not only the client has a memorable experience but that the vendors feel at home. To DJ Manan Shah for keeping the dance floor packed the entire evening and to Bukhara Grill for leaving the guests raving about all the food. Barbie and her entire team from Cinderella Bridez for making our bride and bridesmaids look stunning the entire day and keeping her calm and to the outstanding photo and video teams from Charmi Peña and Unique Visions Studio for capturing the entire day, we cannot wait to see the results.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

SJS Real Weddings: Ritu and Greg

We are back in the office after a great July 4th wedding in Garden City. This particular wedding was very special as we got to combine the groom's Jewish traditions with the bride's Hindu traditions to create a truly unique event.

Everything kicked off on Friday with a energetic Sangeet event at the Posh Lounge of The Garden City Hotel. Friends and family delighted the couple with dance performances and even the groom surprised the entire crowd with a performance of his own. Later on in the evening world famous, Sarina Jain, showed the entire crowd how to rock some amazing bollywood dance moves.

Saturday began with a truly unique baraat that brought together the Red Baraat Band and a traditional Shofar as the groom was escorted to the brides family. Once the ceremony began Panditji Prabhakar Sharma and Rabbi Jill Hausman officiated a gorgeous interfaith ceremony that was unique like no other.

Later in the evening guest enjoyed a fantastic cocktail hour followed by a rocking reception thanks to the music by DJ Manan Shah that kept guests going until the early hours.

We want to send a special thanks to the entire team at The Garden City Hotel for helping us execute such a flawless event. To Design House Decor for bringing the brides colorful enchanted garden idea to life. To Priti Shah and her team for the brides stunning looks throughout the weekend and to Priyanca Rao and Unique Visions Studio for covering the events. We can't wait to see the official photos and video.
