Vermillion Restaurant and Padma Lakshmi

I was so happy to be invited to a dinner on Tues night at Vermillion Restaurant in NYC (46th and Lex). We have done several events there and are in the process of planning several more in this beautiful, modern space.

The event was called: Unconventional Indian Women Leading Culinary

I had the honor of meeting, Emmy Award Winning Host of Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi. Also, at the table were Rohini Dey, the owner of Vermillion Restaurant, Alpana Singh, youngest Master Sommelier who is also Indian (age 26!! Wow) and Executive Chef, Maneet Chauhan.

It was so inspiring to hear their stories about going down an unconventional path and how they got into the culinary field.
Rohini worked at the World Bank before she left and started the two restaurants. Talk about a change and taking a risk!

All the women are so amazing at what they do. It was a great evening and the food (Indian - Latin) was so creatively displayed. You have to check out the food and the very interesting menus which Chef Maneet has put together.

I am happy that we have found such an amazing venue space that does Indian- Latin Food.
