Table, Linen and Dance Floor Sizes To Match Your Guest Count

It is important to make sure that your wedding has enough space for everyone to enjoy themselves comfortably without allotting too much space that the venue looks empty. It is also important to ensure that everything fits perfectly together, like tables and linens. It is more difficult than it may seem to select the correct tables sizes, linen sizes and dance floor sizes. Here are some tips to help you along the way of planning your wedding day.

Real Weddings: Angeli and Rahul

We had our first wedding of the year this weekend and we truly lucked out with the weather! NYC was sunny and warm for the first time this year. So much that the groom was able to have his Baraat procession outside!

The ceremony and reception took place inside the always breathtaking Cipriani 42nd Street. The team from All Event Decorators did an amazing job with the decor and DJ Shilpa kept the party going all night. The bride looked stunning thanks to the great work of Susmita Patel on her hair and makeup. And guests kept talking about the amazing food by Tandoor.

We want to send a huge congrats to the lovely couple! Angeli and Rahul, we wish you nothing but the best in this new stage of your lives, thank you for letting us be a part of your big day.

Reception Menu

We say this all the time, but food is the most important aspect of any successful wedding event. Guests come ready to eat and you want to make sure to have enough options available to satisfy all your guests, especially when your guest count is over 300. It's not easy to find a menu that will include items every single guests will enjoy. This is why variety is super important.

For cocktail hour we always suggest doing both passed appetizers and stations, offer as many vegetarian options as non-vegetarian so that no one is left out.

Guests are pretty full after cocktail hour, but after a few hours of dancing they will be ready for a full meal, make sure to include salad, bread, rice as well as vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

Here is a great sample menu:

Cocktail Hour:
Padpi Chat in Cup
Chilli Pakoda
Paneer Pakora
Avocado chaat in edible spoon

Station #2: Dosa Station

Color Palette: Red, Gold and Navy

Red is a very traditional color for Indian Weddings. Many of our clients tell us they want a traditional wedding but also don't want it to look like every other wedding they have gone to. We love the combination of red and gold, but adding another color can give a great pop to the decor. Consider adding Navy, its a deep, rich, lush color, don't go over board with it, but just a few hints and there will create a lovely palette.

Pink Ombre, Cream, and Midnight Blue Reception

If you have decided on a pink ombre and cream combination for your ceremony, a perfect way to transition into the reception is to add a little midnight blue. These dark blue details contrasted with the light pinks and cream will help to perfectly tie your daytime ceremony in with your nighttime party! With a pink ombre and cream base, try adding in some midnight blue accents in the form of lighting or linen for this stunning and sophisticated effect.

Pink Ombre & Cream Ceremony

If your vision of your wedding ceremony brings to mind classic and sophisticated elegance, then a pink and cream color combination may be the perfect pairing for you! This stunning coupling of colors evokes a delicate and feminine feel, creating an almost dreamlike and picturesque backdrop for your ceremony. Instead of using just one shade of pink, incorporating an ombre hue throughout your décor adds the perfect dramatic effect, without being too over the top.
