Sunny Arizona

Here we are... sunny Arizona. We are here for the wedding of Harini and Andy. They flew in from London a couple of days ago. We delivered the items to the Four Seasons Scottsdale yesterday. The weather is so beautiful and it will be so nice for their 200+ person outdoor wedding.

Katherine flew in yesterday, amazed at how nice the temperature was.

Now we are leaving to go to the rehearsal with both families and bridal party.

Mehendi will be later on this evening. I cannot wait to see how the bride's mehendi turns out.

She is going to make such a beautiful bride. Can't wait for everything to begin.

Dallas Reception... Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

The reception all worked with the pink, red and light pink flowers.
The lighting created the mood that we were looking for. We also pin spotted all the centerpiece.

Dallas Wedding- Saturday Hindu Ceremony

The mandap looked truly amazing. I loved the way the submerged orchids and the tall curly willow branches worked out!
The room we made dim so that guest would stay calm (a trick that really works). The focus on the stage and mandap was great.

Our staff had to take a photo in front of this beautiful mandap. It is really nice to see months of work come together...

I loved the 500+ stargazers that the florist set up in the lobby (the smell was beyond words!). It was the center of attention in the foyer.

The Lord Ganesh Statue and the two elephants were set up to welcome all the guests into the ballroom.

Our staff unloading and setting up at the Friday Catholic Ceremony.
The church was so pretty! The bride (Vani) looked radiant to say the very least!

Happy Diwali Everyone!

Just wanted to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY DIWALI!

We are done with our Dallas Wedding and now on to the next wedding in sunny Scottsdale, AZ!

Dallas was great. I wanted to thank Luis, our banquet captain for being so wonderful and just doing everything we asked with a smile on his face. The staff at the Fairmont in Dallas is very helpful and just the teamwork helped make the event so successful.

Here is what the couple wrote to us before going on their honeymoon:

Hi Sonal,

We just wanted to send you a quick note before we run to the airport
to THANK YOU for all your hard work on our wedding - it was absolutely
amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you again.
Vani & T.J.

I want to also thank my team- Katherine, Jessica, Camille, Meera- could not have done this without you! You make my life so much easier and no words can express what you all mean to Jay and I!

I will post photos in a couple of days!

In Dallas

It has been a crazy few weeks.

I am in Dallas this weekend working on a wedding. I was in Birmingham last weekend.

At least the economy has not really hurt the wedding business.

I am trying to keep up to write more blogs but I guess I am not really a true blogger.

We have a few more weddings until the 2008 season ends. We are getting lots of calls for 2009 which is great.

The truly exciting news is that we have changed our company name! Yes, we are officially Sonal J. Shah Event Consultants, LLC. It is so exciting to see my name on the company. Kind of scary but nice. We will be done with all changes by the end of this month or beginning of November.
