Grand Entrances Songs

Wedding ceremonies can be stressful and nerve-wracking, but once they are over comes the fun part...the reception! You can stop worrying about the little things and celebrate that you are Married!!!

Time to make your grand entrance and set the tone for the entire night! Every couple is different, so first determine how you would like everyone to be introduced. But the most important part is what music you select, you want to make sure its up beat and fun and will get your guests hyped for the rest of the night.

Here are some great songs that are sure to get the party started....

Chandni and George's Wedding

Congratulations to our newly wedded couple as of Saturday, June 21, 2014. The bride was the definition of flawless as she walked down the aisle towards the groom who was eagerly awaiting her arrival. The couple was by far the most gorgeous thing at this wedding. The décor was stunning thanks to Jeannie from Atlas. Shaily from Beauty by Shaily did an immaculate job making the bride look like a princess. The Palace at Somerset Park in New Jersey was an absolute delight to work with; David helped to make sure everything was perfect for the couple. The guests indulged in delicious lunch food, cocktail hour food and dinner food prepared by the one and only Moghul. VJ of DJ Insomnia kept the party going all night long. Thank you to all of the vendors and their teams for an amazing job. Congratulations again to Chandni and George, we wish you nothing but love and happiness.

Kelly Green, Silver and Blush Pink Reception

Brides always ask us which color combination they can use for their reception décor. There are so many color palettes that have already been done that sometimes it is hard to find new color inspiration. An idea could be to play with a dark color and a pale color at the same time. An example of this would be kelly green and blush pink. This combo offers a spring touch that plays dark and light color contrasts. You can even add silver to make a shining effect.

Fun Bride's and Groom's Signature Cocktails

Signature Drinks are always a popular item for cocktail hour. Its a fun way to show the bride and grooms personality through a cocktail!

Make sure to choose something that includes your favorite liquor and that you would actually drink yourself.

Here are some great suggestions...cheers!

Bride Signature Drink:

 Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz liqueur framboise
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz raspberry syrup
  • 3 drops rosewater
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 1/2 oz sparkling water
  • rose petal for garnish

Raspberry Syrup:

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions:

Start by making the raspberry syrup. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a simmer and then remove from heat and let cool completely (approximately 30 minutes) before adding the raspberries. I like to combine the raspberries once the syrup has cooled because you get a bright, fresh flavor, rather than a cooked, jammy flavor.

Once you’ve added the raspberries to the saucepan with the syrup, use a potato masher to crush them to a pulp. If you don’t have a masher you can use a large spoon or the bottom of a glass. Pour the resulting mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the pulp.

Now time for the cocktail: Add the egg white to your shaker and shake for 10 seconds without ice or any other ingredients. This will help you to create the lovely light foam that gives this drink its silky texture. Once you’ve agitated the egg white, fill your shaker with the remaining ingredients, except for the sparkling water. Add ice and shake vigorously for a full 30 seconds.

Once thoroughly shaken, add ice and the sparkling water to your glass and double-strain the shaker contents overtop. I like adding the sparkling water to the bottom of the glass, pouring overtop, so that the bubbles incorporate throughout the drink without stirring. Garnish with a rose petal and straw, and voilà.

La Poire Pear

Ingredients:

  • 6 parts GREY GOOSE® La Poire Flavored Vodka
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 small, ripe pear – peeled, cored and cut into 1/4 inch dice
  • 1 bottle sparkling moscato (or other sweet sparkling wine)

Instructions:

Place the lemon juice, sugar, pear and GREY GOOSE La Poire in a bowl and stir well to combine until sugar is fully dissolved. Divide the pear mixture into six champagne glasses. Fill each glass with moscato. Present with crystallized ginger or mint sprigs. Creates 6 drinks.

The White Cosmo

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts vodka
  • 1 part St. Germain
  • 3/4 part white cranberry juice
  • 1/2 part lime juice

Instructions:

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into chilled martini glass, choose dainty orchid to use as a garnish.

Groom's Signature Drink:

Ingredients:

  • 5 ounces Unsweetened Blueberry Juice
  • 2 ounces plain Vodka
  • Honey or Sugar to taste
  • Ice
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Sparkling Coarse Sugar for rim of glass

    Instructions:

Wet the rim of a chilled martini glass with vodka. Place sparkling sugar on a plate, rub the edge of the glass with sugar to coat. Taste your blueberry juice to see how sweet it is. Add ice, vodka, blueberry juice & sweetener (if needed) to a martini shaker. Shake & strain into sugar rimmed martini glass. Float fresh blueberries on the top of the cocktail.

Earl Gray MarTEAni

Ingredients:

  • 6 Earl Grey tea bags
  • sugar
  • crushed ice
  • gin or vodka
  • juice from 2 lemons
  • a few pinches of saffron, to garnish (optional)

    Instructions:

Steep the tea bags in 200ml just-boiled water for 4 minutes, adding sugar and stirring until dissolved. Remove the tea bags. Fill up to 500ml with cold water and refrigerate for an hour, or longer if you have time. Add gin (or vodka) and lemon juice to taste. Add crushed ice. Serve in a teacup or glass. For an added punch, add saffron to each shot.

Texas Sunset

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. white rum (Bacardi)
  • 1/2 oz. aged rum
  • 1/2 oz. apricot brandy
  • 1/2 oz. egg white
  • 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup*
  • 3/4 oz. grenadine

    Instructions:

Vigorously shake all ingredients except grenadine in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Gently pour in grenadine, allowing it to settle on the bottom, creating a layered effect. Dissolve 2 cups sugar into 1 cup boiling water. Let cool.

Clarissa and Tushin

We started off the month of June with a fantastic wedding at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency Princeton in Princeton, NJ. The bride had her hair and makeup done by Cinderella Bridez and looked absolutely stunning. The Peloton Group did a tremendous job transforming a vacant ballroom into a purple wonderland. The guests were non stop dancing with the help of DJ Mannan Shah of IEDJs who kept the party going all night long. Thank you to all the vendors who did an amazing job in making this wedding perfect. Congratulations to the happy couple. You were an absolute delight to work with.
