Many of our couples like to end their wedding festivities with a farewell brunch. This is a great way to say goodbye to your guests and thank them for being a part of your wedding weekend.
One of the most common questions we get is, “Where should we do this event?”. We always suggest doing it at the same hotel where all the guests are staying.
1. Not only will it be convenient for all involved, but the facility may offer special wedding packages that will save on cost.
2. Doing the brunch at your venue gives you many options for the location, you can do it at the hotel restaurant or even rent out a small event space.
3. If you use the hotel where guests are staying, be sure to consider the hotel’s check-out time and make sure it fits with the brunch schedule.
A local café or restaurant is a good location for a brunch, but you need to make sure that all guests know how to get there. If you are doing a destination wedding we suggest providing transportation to the location. If your heart is set on a favorite brunch place, there may be limited seating capacity for a Sunday brunch (due to other reservations or guests). Make sure that they can block out a big enough space so that all your guests can sit together.
Wherever you choose to do the brunch, make sure its not to early. Most guests are going to want to sleep in after a long night of dancing!
