Photo Escort Cards

Your escort card display plays a huge role during your cocktail hour, not only is it a great way to give a preview of your reception decor with a great centerpiece but the actual cards will direct your guests to where they will be seated.

There are many creative things you can do for your actual cards, but we recently saw one that we fell in love with! If you can manage to find a photo of yourself with every single one of your guests this could create a very fun and memorable display. Photos are a great way to reminisce with your friends and family about past times, especially at a time where you will be creating so many memories for your future.

Here are a few ideas:

Hold the Alcohol

While an extensive list of alcaholic drinks are always readily obtainable at every wedding reception, cocktail hour or whatever the occasion may be it is always good to bear in mind some favourited non-alcaholic drinks for those craving something a little more refreshing or thirst quenching!

The ulitmate Fruit cocktail consisting of orange juice, grapefruit juice, mango juice, pineapple juice, a little squeeze of lime juice and a touch of kiwi syrup is sure to contain at least one componant which trigers the tastebuds of many a guest.

A little more on the sparkly side of things a patent cranberry punch can be a distinct winner. This would be compiled of two quarters cranberry juice, one quarter chilled sparkling water and one can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate thawed.

A cocktail known universally as “Crazy Janie” can also be easily created and served as a favourited non-alcaholic beverage. This cocktail is composed of two ounces of orange juice, two ounces of grapefruit juice, a splash of either 7up or sprite and a splash of grenadine syrup.

Another great and easy to make fruit medley known as “Spring Fever” can be served as an approved alcohol alternative. This fruit cocktail s a simplistic mixture of lemon juice, mango syrup, apple juice and orange juice.

Let The Linen Shine

A big term used in the decor planning stages of any wedding is always the word "Bling". Most brides want their decor to give a "wow factor" and adding a little bling is a great way to do this. If you don't want to go overboard with crystals a subtle way of including a little shine is through your linen! There are so many options nowadays that allow you to do as much or as little as you would like. From sequins, pallets, embroidery, and chain like details there is something for everyone.

Safal & Amit's Wedding!

Fall is here and we had an amazing October wedding. Congratulations to Safal and Amit! Their pink and blue Moroccan themed Sangeet at the Sheraton Mahwah certainly wowed everyone with great décor, by Elegant Affairs, and amazing food from Moghul Caterers. On Saturday, it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day for a wedding at The Rockleigh. The ceremony was bright, elegant and romantic with chandeliers everywhere, including the mandap, also done by Elegant Affairs. The bride looked gorgeous with hair by Dalessa from La Sorella Bridal and makeup by Sally Duvall as she walked down the aisle. In the evening, guests picked up their personalized picture placecards in the lobby and made their way to cocktail hour, both in the foyer and outside by the fountains. Guests were lead into the purple and white themed ballroom and had traditional mints, mukwash, and favors, individual miniature weddings cakes, waiting for them. Everyone danced the night away with the latest tunes from DJ Gaurav and took advantage of the photo booth. Safal and Amit did not leave each others side while celebrating their love for each other. Congratulations again!

Thank You Note: Safal & Amit

We just received the nicest thank you from our couple, Safal & Amit, that got married at The Rockleigh just this past weekend. Stay tuned for the details about their event.

Hi Sonal and Katherine, I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. Thank you for working out our last min. fixes and for all of the work leading up to and at the events.

The entire team was incredible. This wedding could not have been what it was without you guys. I am so grateful for all that you guys took care of and I appreciate all of your efforts. You made this weekend perfect for me and Safal. Even better-you made my parents true believers in wedding coordinators!

You were invaluable. I already started recommending you to our friends there who are getting married. Again, thank you so much.
